The Hotel Vila Nova is a modern, whitewashed property situated in the historic part of Ponta Delgada, just 700 metres from the imposing Convento da Esperan�a. This five floor hotel features 102 air conditioned guestrooms with simple, modern decor in cool hues with wooden furnishings, and coloured carpets and fabrics. All offer cable television, direct dial phones, safes, wireless and dial up Internet access and desks. Bathrooms have hair dryers and shower/tub combinations.
The hotel's Atlantis Restaurant serves international and regional dishes, in a relaxed atmosphere with modern decor and simple furnishings. The best way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi. Taxis should cost approximately 8 EUR. The easiest way to get around is on foot, bicycle or by hire car.
Driving directions: From the airport take the motorway, follow the road to the left and take the first exit for Ponta Delgada/Porto. Continue down the tree lined street and turn left at the roundabout with the fountain. Follow signs for Centro. Continue on Rua de Lisboa, past the sugar factory Sinaga and the Royal Garden Hotel. Take the first road on the right and continue to the hotel.
